Earlier in the year these two teams faced off where Unity Christian came away with the victory 57-43. This time it was the same outcome but with more swag,
Unity Christian came out strong, opening the game on a 7–0 run as Paw Paw struggled to find rhythm early. A three-pointer from Caden Bowen cut the deficit to six, but Unity maintained control behind a hot shooting start—particularly from their perimeter players, with No. 2 knocking down multiple threes. Energized by a lively student section, Unity closed the first quarter with a commanding 19–5 lead.

The second quarter saw Unity quickly build on its advantage, extending the lead to 20 following back-to-back three-pointers from Kaeden Bareman. Their efficient offensive pace and ball movement allowed them to consistently find scoring opportunities, especially in the paint. Paw Paw responded by increasing defensive pressure, generating consecutive steals that led to transition points, including a layup and another three from Bowen. That defensive effort sparked some momentum, and Paw Paw briefly found success forcing turnovers and converting on the other end. However, despite a late run fueled by Unity turnovers, Paw Paw still trailed 32–14 at halftime, with Unity’s only points in the closing minutes coming from the free-throw line.

Coming out of the break, Paw Paw showed signs of life with two early baskets, but Unity quickly halted any momentum shift. The lead ballooned to 24 within the first two minutes of the third quarter as Unity regained control. Continuing to apply pressure on both ends, Unity eventually stretched the margin to 33 points before rotating in bench players.
Unity Christian closed out a dominant performance with a 70–30 victory.
