Schoolcraft Soars Past Comstock, Punches Ticket to Sixth Straight District Final

Schoolcraft entered the postseason with plenty of outside noise swirling around them. An above-.500 regular season record left some doubting whether the Eagles could make another deep run. On Wednesday night, they answered every question in emphatic fashion.

From the opening whistle, Schoolcraft imposed its will on Comstock, cruising to a dominant 71–30 victory to secure its sixth straight district final appearance. The Eagles set the tone early with relentless defensive pressure and a level of shot-making that hadn’t consistently shown itself during the regular season, but arrived at exactly the right time. Schoolcraft controlled the tempo from the outset, forcing turnovers and converting on the other end. While Comstock fought to stay within reach in the first half, the Eagles never let momentum slip. It was the most complete performance the Eagles have put together this season, and it came on a stage where execution matters most. Despite being counted out by some after the regular season, the Eagles have clearly flipped the switch. The energy, focus, and toughness on display reflected a team playing with belief and purpose, embracing the moment rather than shrinking from it.

Now, the Eagles turn their attention to Friday night and a district championship matchup against Kalamazoo Phoenix, who advanced with a stunning double-overtime upset of Hackett. It sets the stage for a compelling title game, with Schoolcraft chasing another district crown and Phoenix riding the momentum of a dramatic win.

For Schoolcraft, the mission is clear. Six straight trips to the district final don’t happen by accident, and Wednesday’s performance showed exactly why this program continues to be a postseason constant.
