Paw Paw had the Hot hand against Vicksburg

Paw Paw and Vicksburg squared off in a Wolverine Conference matchup. Paw Paw came out firing, jumping to a quick nine-point lead. After opening the game on an 11–2 run, the Red Wolves were held scoreless for the next two and a half minutes. Despite the brief lull, Ryan Holmes led Paw Paw in the first quarter with nine points, as the team shot an efficient 50 percent from beyond the arc.

Paw Paw opened the second quarter with a steal and basket to extend its lead and continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor. The Red Wolves’ high-powered offense and swarming defense helped push the advantage to 22 points with just over two minutes remaining in the half. Coming out of a timeout, Paw Paw forced three consecutive turnovers, converting each into layups. The Red Wolves entered halftime with a commanding 27-point lead. Paw Paw showed no signs of slowing down after the break, scoring 14 unanswered points to open the second half and further distance itself from Vicksburg.
